VENTILATION OUTAGE - NORTH RAL - OCTOBER 12TH THROUGH 16TH

TO ALL IN NORTH RAL:

F&S will be conducting a VENTILATION OUTAGE affecting all exhausted lab equipment (fume hoods, glove boxes, gas cabinets, etc.) in the North RAL rooms listed in the outage request from Monday, October 12^th through Friday, October 16^th. This outage is needed to replace three exhaust fans. During this outage, no experiments should be run involving any of the exhausted lab equipment. Researchers are still allowed to do research on the lab benches as well as in any biological safety cabinets that are not connected to the ventilation system. To prepare for the outage please do the following:

·         Make sure all chemicals and waste containers are capped

·         Make sure all fume hood sashes are lowered

·         Turn off any gas cylinders stored in ventilated cabinets, disconnect anything connected to them, and reattach the cylinder cap
