POWER OUTAGE OVER THE WEEKEND - NOYES LAB

TO ALL IN NOYES LAB:

SCS was made aware of a power outage that occurred in Noyes Lab late Friday evening and was restored early Sat AM.  We are working with F & S to find out why but here is the initial report:

It appears the main cable from the Main Campus Substation and Load Center 6, in Noyes, failed.

Load Center 6 was switched to a reserve feed.

Testing and repair will be iniated on Monday morning.

We are also working with F & S to find out why nobody within SCS (including myself & Chad) was notified except for one person in the CEES group.  We will work strenuously to ensure this is repaired permanently and make sure they understand it is IMPERATIVE to notify us ASAP when something like this occurs in our facilities.
