LOW PRESSURE STEAM OUTAGE - NOYES LAB - JANUARY 5TH FROM 5:00AM TO 12:00PM

TO ALL IN NOYES LAB:

F&S will be conducting a LOW PRESSURE STEAM OUTAGE affecting Noyes Lab on Friday, January 5th from 5:00AM to 12:00PM(Noon). This outage is needed due to the renovations in rooms 219 and 250. During this outage, building occupants may notice cooler than usual temperatures due to lack of steam heat. Further details about the outage are listed below:

Outage Type : LOW PRESSURE STEAM, CONDENSATE STEAM, AND FIRE ALARMS (OTHER)

Building : 0012 - NOYES LABORATORY OF CHEMISTRY

Building Sections affected : Rooms 219, 250 along with the room directly below 250. Perimeter Heat Only

Building Services affected : Low pressure steam, condensate steam, and fire alarms

Building Occupants Effect : Lack of perimeter steam heat

Comments : This is for the two copper pipes that are located inside the door on Room 250. There was an existing leak on the pipes as we tried to cut and cap the pipes we found the leak along with the fittings having asbestos.
