VENTILATION OUTAGE - SOUTH RAL - FEBRUARY 24TH AT 10:00PM TO FEBRUARY 25TH AT 8:00AM AND MARCH 3RD AT 10:00PM TO MARCH 4TH AT 8:00AM

TO ALL IN SOUTH RAL:

F&S will be conducting a VENTILATION OUTAGE affecting the ground and first floors of South RAL on Thursday, February 24th at 10:00PM to Friday, February 25th at 8:00AM and Thursday, March 3rd at 10:00PM to Friday, March 4th at 8:00AM. These outages are needed to install access doors in supply lines. The rooms affected by the outages are as follows:

  •    33-79
  •    129-179

During the outages, the supply and make-up air on the ground and first floors will be affected, which may cause temperature changes and create a lack of air movement. This will also affect the make-up air for the fume hoods so while the exhaust fans will still remain operational, we need to anticipate that the fume hoods won’t be operating optimally. Since these outages will occur overnight, we are NOT recommending leaving your lab doors open as instructed in the outage request. As a result, please refrain from conducting research in the fume hoods during the outages. To prepare for the outages:

  •    Please completely lower fume hood sashes
  •    Please make sure that all chemical/waste containers are sealed
