SCS Building Outages/Important Notices

VENTILATION OUTAGE - RAL - AUGUST 5TH AT 6:00AM TO AUGUST 6TH AT 2:30PM

TO ALL IN SOUTH RAL:

F&S is conducting an EMERGENCY VENTILATION OUTAGE affecting the 2^nd-4^th floors of South RAL from Saturday, August 5^th at 6:00AM to Sunday, August 6^th at 2:30PM. This outage is needed to remove the energy recovery wheels on the ventilation fans serving these floors. These wheels are in danger of coming apart and must be removed ASAP to avoid potential damage to the exhaust/supply units serving the labs. During this outage, nobody should be working on these floors as there will be no supply or exhaust present. To prepare for the outage, please make sure that all fume hoods sashes are fully closed and all chemical/waste containers are sealed. Further details about the outage are listed below:

Building Services affected : There will be no supply or Fume Hood exhaust to these floors during the outage.

Building Occupants Effect : There will be no air movement or exhaust to these room

Comments : Please cap all chemicals and close all hood sashes during this outage.

VENTILATION OUTAGE - DAVENPORT HALL - JULY 24TH AT 3:00PM TO JULY 25TH AT 12:00AM

TO ALL IN DAVENPORT:

F&S will be conducting a VENTILATION OUTAGE affecting all of Davenport Hall except for 260 A/B/C from Monday, July 24^th at 3:00PM to Tuesday, July 25^th at 12:00AM(Midnight). This outage is needed to change air filters. During this outage, only the supply fans will be affected so research can still continue as normal. Lab doors should be kept open while working to allow for makeup air to keep fume hoods functioning properly. Further details about the outage are listed below:
