SCS Building Outages/Important Notices

TEMP CONTROL COMPRESSOR OUTAGE - NOYES LAB - TOMORROW(APRIL 2) - 7AM TO 1PM

To All in Noyes Lab:

There will be a TEMPERATURE CONTROL COMPRESSOR outage TOMORROW(APRIL 2) from 7:00AM to 1:00PM. This outage is being conducted to find leaking temperature control/compressed lines in the building. Each line will be tested and you may notice some steam flow noise and overheating. This shouldn’t affect any lab compressed air systems but it is a possibility.

*IF YOU NOTICE YOUR AREA IS BECOMING ABNORMALLY HOT, OVERHEATING, UNDERHEATING, OR THE LAB COMPRESSED AIR IS BEING AFFECTED, PLEASE EMAIL DANIELLE(dcruzan@illinois.edu) SO IT CAN BE ADDRESSED ASAP!

Facilities and Services is requesting an outage on
TEMP CONTROL COMPRESSOR at NOYES LABORATORY OF CHEMISTRY (0012) from 2019/04/02 07:00 to 2019/04/02 13:00 -
Outage ID : 19473
Outage Reason : Trying to figure out where the leaking temperature control/compressed air lines are in the building while the weather is still cool outside.
Building Sections affected : entire building could be effected.
Building Services affected : The building/room heating valves could fail to the open position resulting in over heating.
Building Occupants Effect : Over heating or under heating rooms. Please let us know if these problems are observed as our F&S retro-commissioning team can take a look at these. We don?t think that any lab compressed air systems will be effected, but this is a possibility.

LOW PRESSURE STEAM OUTAGE - DAVENPORT HALL - APR 1 - 7:00AM TO 4:00PM

TO ALL IN DAVENPORT HALL:

There will be a LOW PRESSURE STEAM OUTAGE on MONDAY, APRIL 1 from 7:00AM to 4:00PM. This outage is being performed to replace several failing valves. If the outside temperature is below 50 degrees F, the perimeter heat will not turn on and you may experience cooler temps. Further details of the outage are below:

Outage Reason : Need to replace several valves that have failed
Building Sections affected : entire bldg
Building Services affected : perimeter heat
Building Occupants Effect : if outside temp is below 50 then perimeter heat won't turn on
